We are so excited to announce that Cavan is writing stories for not one, but TWO new specials based on classic British comics that are coming in 2020!
First up is Cor! Buster, a revival of the popular kid’s humour comic of yesteryear. As with this year’s special, Cavan will be writing Frankie Stein, this time with Steve Mannion on art!
Our next news is that Cavan will also be writing a strip for the Scream! & Misty 2020 Halloween Special. He is thrilled to get the chance to write for a comic that gave him nightmares at a kid and had this to say:
I still remember seeing my first issue of Scream in our local newsagent as a kid. It was the second spine-chilling edition and featured a massive spider-web on the cover. While I hated spiders, I loved spooky stuff and so grabbed it straight away. I’m not sure my parents were sure about it, but as a 12-year-old horror fan Scream was exactly what I wanted to read.
So when I received the call to write a strip for next year’s Halloween Special I bit editor Keith Richardson’s hand clean off. Well, not literally, of course, but it would probably have be appropriate all things considered.
As to what classic strip I’m writing, well, that’s a secret I will have to take to the grave… or at least one I should keep until Rebellion release more information!
