Star Wars: The High Republic authors support #Creators4Comics with exclusive auctions

We all know that local comic shops and independent bookstores are in desperate need of direct financial help due to COVID-19. That’s where we come in. These stores supported us and our work, now it’s our turn to support them!

#Creators4Comics is a group of comics writers, artists, authors, and others who are coming together to help save comic book retailers and independent bookstores by organizing a Twitter auction to directly benefit the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC). BINC is accepting applications from stores now and they will begin providing direct aid to stores starting at the end of the month.

Cavan, along with his fellow Star Wars: The High Republic story architects Daniel J. Older, Charles Soule, and Claudia Gray, are all donating items to help raise money for BINC. We hope you’ll check them out and maybe place a bid or two.

How does this work, you ask? Well, Twitter users can scroll through the auction items under the hashtag #Creators4Comics and reply to individual item threads to place their bids until the auction ends on April 20th, at 12 PM EST. The winning bidder donates directly to BINC and provides the donation receipt to the auctioneer to claim their item.

Are you ready to see what’s up for grabs?

Cavan is auctioning off a signed copy of Star Wars Tales from Vader’s Castle, annotated with dozens of handwritten post-it-notes.

Daniel is auctioning off two signed hardcover copies of STAR WARS: LAST SHOT.

Charles is auctioning off a podcast interview and a copy of The Rise of Kylo Ren #1 (with original Kylo or Ben fiction!)

Claudia is auctioning off a signed copy of Star Wars: Master and Apprentice, with the Celebration-exclusive cover.

From artists to authors, we’re banding together to support indie bookstores and comic book stores, and I hope you’ll join us!
