Another new book of mine has arrived through the post, this time thanks to Puffin. Terrafin Battles the Boom Brothers is the latest in the Skylanders Mask of Power series.
Actually, thinking about the Skylanders, I’ve had a few emails from readers asking which order the Onk Beakman Skylanders books should be read. Well, you could start with Skylanders The Machine of Doom, which is a standalone story and leads nicely into the Mask of Power series.
The Mask of Power series then follows this order:
Book 1: Spyro vs The Mega Monsters
Book 2: Gill Grunt and the Curse of the Fish Master
Book 3: Lightning Rod Faces the Cyclops Queen
Book 4: Terrafin Battles The Boom Brothers
And we have more on the way with Book 5 – Cynder Confronts the Weather Wizard – out in June. Here’s the blurb for Cynder’s adventure:

Questions – I wanted to get the books 4-7 for my son. I see they aren’t released yet. But…I found a website that has them all out – they are the versions published in London – and it looks like all seven issues are out.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these – are they the same as the US version?

The books are written for the UK market first and then released in the US. The only difference is that they have UK English spellings and some UK-orientated words that are changed for the US versions.

I’ve gotten a few of the books from the UK – my son just couldn’t wait to find out what happened next.
A few of the words or wording is odd but nothing too different from American english. My son never noticed the difference.
