Upcoming appearance: Bristolcon 2014 – Writing Non-Human Characters

Emma Newman is one of the guests of honour at this year's Bristolcon

Hurrah! It's nearly time for Bristolcon, which is officially the friendliest convention in the history of, well, pretty much everything. Fact!

It's all taking place this Saturday (25th October) at the Doubletree Hotel in Bristol with Guests of Honour Emma Newman, Jon Courtenay Grimwood and Julian Quaye.

I'll be taking part in a panel at 6pm in Programme Room 1, namely:

Writing Non-Human Characters:

What are the challenges in writing aliens, robots, fairies and other non-human characters in F&SF? How do you get inside their heads and make them convincing?

The panel will be moderated by Peter Newman, and will also feature Pete Sutton, Amanda Kear (Dr Bob) and Kim Lakin-Smith.

For more details about the the friendliest convention in the history of pretty much everything head over to bristolcon.org. Hope to see you there.
