Hearing Elizabeth Sladen say our names has been a rare thrill. Of course, dear Sarah Jane Smith had left Doctor Who long before I started to watch the show, but I remember my introduction to everyone’s favourite companion inK9 and Company. I would never have thought I would be writing for her spin-off adventures nearly 20 years later.
