Passed a milestone yesterday! Wrote my 50th Roger the Dodger strip for the Beano! I had a choccy biscuit to celebrate and everything.
Today, I’m bombing up to Slough for Big Finish Day 6, but whatever you’re doing, there’s still time to pick up this week’s issue of the Beano, featuring another three scripts from me.
Staying with Roger for the moment, the Dodger delves into his family tree, reading up on his ancestor, Sir Dodge-a-lot of Camelot!
As always, art is by Barrie Appleby, who also draws Gnasher and Gnipper. This week, the menacing mutts hike up Mount Beano and meet a rambler who remembers past hiking nightmares with the two hounds.
Finally, Wayne Thompson provides the art for a Bananaman strip I’ve been waiting for. Introducing Bananaman’s new costume – or should I say, armour!
Eagle-eyed readers might notice a few easter eggs hidden away in the background:
Check out the original Bananaman cossie, Miracle Banana as created by Kev F, and, ahem, Bat-man!
Grab this week’s Beano today!
