Need a little Blake’s 7 this weekend? Then Cold Fury could be just what you need. It marks a couple of firsts – it’s the first Blake’s 7 full cast audio written by Mark and me, and – more importantly – it’s the first Blake’s 7 to feature the wonderful Hugh Fraser as the President of the Terran Federation. You might recognise Hugh as Hastings to David Suchet’s Poirot, but trust me, he’s no way near as amiable as the President.

Of course, the excitement of its release yesterday was tempered by the sad news that our wonderful colleague and friend Paul Spragg unexpectedly passed away on Thursday. Paul was quite simply one of the loveliest people I’ve ever known. He approached everything with a smile, and our regular emails back and forth about Big Finish business always ended up wibbling on about comics and nonsense. The fact that he’s gone seems ridiculous. My thoughts go out to his family and many, many friends. If it doesn’t seem too crass, I’d love to dedicate Cold Fury to him. RIP Paul – you’re already missed.
