Spotted this simple but thought-provoking quote from the late, great Bruce Lee the other day:
If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.
This is true in all things, including writing. At conventions, you often hear folk saying that they are aspiring writers. The truth is that there is no such thing. You might as well say “I’m an aspiring human”. Either you are a writer or you are not.
And how do you know that you’re a writer?
Simple. You write.
Talking about writing won’t get you anywhere. You need to put pen to paper or finger to keyboard and get on with it.
So, what are you going to write this week?
