It’s Saturday so it’s time for my Beano plug!
This week’s issue sees two more scripts from me. With art from Barrie Appleby, Roger the Dodger goes into business with his Dad – who proves to be an old dodger himself.
Meanwhile, with art from Wayne Thompson, Bananaman comes up against an old foodie foe!
One of the joys of writing Bananaman has been bringing back some of the more obscure villains in Mr B’s rogue gallery, such as Spaghetti-Man, who was first drawn by the legendary John Geering back in the 9os!
But wait, did I ‘has been’, as in past tense? Yup, because we’ve had a bit of a writers shift-around at Beano towers. My runs on Bananaman and Roger have come to an end, but I’m enjoying regularly writing two different strips. Which ones? Well, all will be revealed soon.
