Like Roger Moore, Adam West brought happiness to our childhoods, and all these years later still draws a smile as we remember those moments.
West’s Batman was my gateway into the world of superheroes.
Long before I believed a man could fly or looked out for the Spider-Man, I tuned in at the same bat time on the same bat channel.
The tongue in cheek humour was lost on me at first. Every episode just seemed insanely exciting, the cliffhangers unbearable.
Then, as I got older, I got the joke and loved Batman and Robin even more.
So, thank you Adam West. You made a superhero fan of me.
