Resurrection Engines

Do you hate those Facebook, Twitter or blog posts that say ‘Oooo, I’ve been doing something exciting and top secret this week…’? Me to. Unfortunately, this is one of them. I wish I could tell you what I’ve been working on over the last couple of weeks but I’d be fed to dogs if I dared open my mouth.

One thing I can talk about is Resurrection Engines, a collection of steampunk stories edited by Scott Harrison and published by Snow Books. Each tale is a retelling of a classic story in a steampunk style. My contribution is a twist on Snow White entitled ‘Fairest of them all’.

Here the complete run down of the book including the stories my fellow writers are tackling:

  • Brian Herbert & Bruce Taylor (H.G. Wells)
  • Lavie Tidhar (Alice in Wonderland)
  • Adam Roberts (Rime of the Ancient Mariner)
  • Philip Palmer (Wilkie Collins)
  • Juliet E. McKenna (H. Rider Haggard)
  • Jonathan Green (Moby Dick)
  • Alan K. Baker (Journey to the Centre of the Earth)
  • Roland Moore (White Fang)
  • Scott Harrison (Jekyll & Hyde)
  • Alison Littlewood (Silas Marner)
  • Jim Mortimore (Robin Hood)
  • Cavan Scott (Snow White)
  • Kim Lakin-Smith (Peter Pan / The Island of Doctor Moreau)
  • Paul Magrs (Wuthering Heights)
  • Simon Bucher-Jones (A Christmas Carol)
  • Rachel E. Pollock (Treasure Island)

Resurrection Engines is out on December 1st.
