Me on the web – a Blake’s 7 interview, getting over The Fear, creating characters and my new author pic too!

cavan-scott-author-picJust a quick post to let you know some of the places I’ve popped up on line over the last few weeks or so.

The big Blake’s 7 interview!

First up is an extensive interview with the official Blake’s 7 fan club about writing and producing Blake’s 7 for Big Finish. We also cover how I got into writing, how to take criticism and using music to write. It’s a long ‘un so they’ve separated into two parts. Here’s part one and here’s part two. Thanks for Jackie and Diane for the questions.

The interview also saw the debut of my new author pic. That’s it to the right. What do you think? It was taken by the wonderful Lisa Bowerman.

The Fear Survival Pack

Elsewhere,  I talk about not knowing what to write and getting hit by The Fear™ over at the Awfully Big Blog Adventure. In the post, I discuss the things I used to get myself out of a funk when it hits, namely the works of Freddie Mercury, Neil Gaiman and Guillermo Del Toro. Have a look to see what I mean.

Creating Characters

Finally, I gave some tips on creating characters over at Girls Heart Book. It’s an old trick I use which basically involves asking ‘What’s in your character’s pocket!

Ask me anything at all!

Don’t forget, if you want to ask me a question about my work with Blake’s 7Doctor WhoThe Beano or whatever you can leave a comment here on the site, or head over to my Tumblr site to make use of the Ask Me Anything section. Yes, I really do mean anything… Go on, I dare you!
