London Super Comic Convention

LSCC-PassWhere is this week going? Before it completely vanishes, I need to catch up about London Super Comic Con. I had a great time at Excel on Saturday, meeting up with old friends, and making some new ones too.

The Titan Comics Doctor Who panel seemed to go down well, as did the premier of the new Ninth Doctor trailer.

I was up on stage with Al Ewing (writer on the 11th Doctor comic, as well as many, many other brilliant things) plus Rachel Smith, Colin Bell, Mark Ellerby and Emma Price, the fantastic writers and artists of the humour strips found in each of the Titan Doctor Who titles. Editors Andrew James and Steve White  proved themselves to be masterful masters of ceremonies and there was even a couple of Time Lords and their tin chum in the audience!

Then it was off to the Forbidden Planet stand to sign an exclusive preview of issue one with cover artist Christian Ward (and officially one of the nicest men in the world. Some amazing cosplayers materialised to have their issues signed, including the TARDIS herself!

While the Cyber-Leader thought Christian’s cover was excellent…

Away from Doctor Who, I had a great time catching up with a host of lovely people including the Titan Comics crew, of course, plus Si Spurrier, Rachael Stott, Grant Perkins, Henry Davies, Des Taylor and Mike Collins.

I also couldn’t resist getting my copy of Revenge signed by these two fine fellows, Ian Churchill and Jonathan Ross!

And that was LSCC. I even got out before I bought too many toys. Well, except these chaps…

Well, it wouldn’t be a comic con if you didn’t buy a few toys along the way!
