The news has just been revealed that I am hosting the Drama School arena at this year’s Doctor Who Festival, the three-day event that is taking place 13-15 November at London Excel.
This special section of the event sees performance pushed to the fore. There’s still more information to be revealed, but here’s what’s up on the official site right now:
At Drama School you can learn how to talk like a monster with the voice of the Daleks, Nick Briggs who is also an actor, writer, director, sound designer and composer. Barnaby Edwards, actor, writer, director and Dalek operator will also be on hand. They’ll take you through your voice acting paces, tell you how they got into audio drama on Doctor Who, and also give advice to any aspiring voice actors.
Plus, join Big Finish as they act out a scene from one of the latest audio dramas. Learn all about the techniques in audio drama and perhaps join them in a script reading session too.
