Introducing Sherlock Holmes: The Voice of Treason

Hot on the heels of his Audie nomination, we are excited to announce a new Sherlock Holmes full-cast audio drama written by Cavan and his Strange Matter collaborator, George Mann.

Sherlock Holmes: The Voice of Treason is a full-cast Audible Original starring Nicholas Boulton as the Great Detective and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Dr. John Watson.

Here is the official blurb:

There is a plot to kidnap Queen Victoria and only Sherlock Holmes can stop it…or can he?

Investigating a crime seemingly unconnected to the Royal Family, Holmes and Watson uncover a conspiracy to kidnap Queen Victoria and destabilise the British Empire.

With a ticking clock to her next public engagement, Holmes and Watson must discover who is behind the plot and locate her majesty, while Mycroft tries to keep the monarch’s disappearance a secret from the British people.

At first, Holmes believes Moriarty is responsible for the abduction, but when the Napoleon of Crime is proved innocent, Holmes must work with his arch-nemesis to recuse the Queen.

Speaking about the news, Cavan said:

It’s great to return to Victorian London to write another adventure for everyone’s favourite consulting detective, this time working, of course, with George.

This is the first production of Strange Matter, the creative studio that George and I founded in 2018. We had a ball diving into Arthur Conan Doyle’s world together and yes, this was the plot we were trying to work out while in San Diego last July. A hotel housekeeper came into our room just in time to hear me ask George if we should blow up or hide the body? She backed out before we could explain what we were talking about!

Sherlock Holmes: The Voice of Treason is released on the 16th March 2020.
