Heading back to 2005 in Doctor Who Magazine #485

DWM-485

Doctor Who Magazine issue 485 is out today, celebrating ten years since Doctor Who returned in 2005.

It’s a packed issue, looking back at a fantastic decade of the Doctor, interviewing Keith Boak, the director of Rose, and kicking off a new comic strip by my chum Jacqueline Rayner!

IMG_1380I also turn up, along with my old mucker and Who-ology co-writer Mark Wright. A couple of months back, DWM gave us a challenge. Could we track down and interview 10 actors from the 2005 season?

One actor from each story? Simple.

After a LOT of trawling through agents and making calls we finally managed it. Mark interviewed Camille Coduri (Jackie Tyler), Alan David (Gabriel Sneed), Barnaby Edwards (The Dalek), Shaun Dingwall (Pete Tyler) and Annette Badlands (Blon Fel-Fotch Passammer-Day Slitheen). Meanwhile, I talked to Yasmin Bannerman (Jabe), Alan Ruscoe (The Slitheen and other creatures), Bruno Langley (Adam Mitchell), Florence Hoath (Nancy) and Jo Joyner (Lynda Moss).

You can read all ten interviews in the the issue, which has four variant covers.

Which Doctor will you choose?

I went for Eccleston. Can’t think why…
