The latest chapter of Snaffles the Cat Burglar went live today on the Fiction Express website. And now the waiting begins, until the result is in on Tuesday.
Over the last week I’ve contributed a couple of posts for the Fiction Express blog as well. On Wednesday I chatted about the process of writing, rewriting and, er, shouting at goldfish. Then on Thursday, I shared the original opening of Snaffles chapter one, explaining why we cut it.
It’s been an exhausting week to be honest, leaping from one project to another, including Snaffles of course, plus a new Warhammer 40,000 story, numerous Beano strips and putting the finishing touches to the final Pathfinder script for Pathfinder Legends. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I’ve found time to pitch eight stories to a new comic, another to an exciting new audio project and get some words down on Sovereign, my YA novel. It’s a good job I enjoy my job isn’t it?
I’ve not managed as many words on Sovereign as I’d like, but I’m getting there. I’m well over the 30,000 mark now – just need to keep the momentum going.
But it’s 9:15 on Friday evening. I might put my feet up and catch up on some telly with a nice cup of tea. I know! Do I know how to party, or what?
