I had a great publication day for Doctor Who: The Shining Man yesterday. There was lots of excitement online and I ended up popping onto Radio Bristol again to discuss the book with Laura Rawlings. Again, you can hear the interview on BBC iPlayer here. It starts 1hr 25 mins into the programme.
I also released a very special email newsletter that featured top authors remembering the first ever Doctor Who book they read. The list of writers included (takes a deep breath) Mike Tucker, Jonathan Morris, Nicholas Briggs, Iain McLaughlin, Nick Abadzis, Andrew Smith, George Mann, Una McCormack, Andrew Lane, Mark Wright, Adam Christopher, Steve Cole, Rob Williams, Guy Adams, Scott Handcock, Matt Fitton, John Dorney and James Goss. Then, in the evening I hot-footed it over to Made In Bristol TV to chat about the book to Steve Le Fevre on Crunch. I shared the sofa with Peaches Golding, Bristol’s new Lord Lieutenant, who was just brilliant – and also a bit of a Doctor Who fan!
She’d even found a TARDIS during a recent visit to GMTV!

So, a busy but fun day, which was topped off perfectly by The Shining Man reaching a number one spot on the Amazon charts. Amazing! Thanks to all of you for your support. You rock!
