Sunday Times top ten bestselling author, Cavan Scott is an author, editor, producer and pastry lover who lives near Bristol in the UK.
He has written novels, audio dramas, short stories and comic strips for such popular series as Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Warhammer 40,000, Pathfinder, Adventure Time, Blake’s 7, Judge Dredd, Highlander and Power Rangers.
He has also written children’s novels, activity books, annuals and game guides for Skylanders and Angry Birds, plus non-fiction books for Doctor Who, Planet Dinosaur and Countryfile. His latest non-fiction book, Who-ology, the Official Doctor Who Miscellany, co-written by Mark Wright was published in May.
When he’s not writing, he produces audio dramas for Big Finish and has edited magazines for Future Publishing, BBC Magazines and the National Trust. In 2007, he launched Countryfile Magazine and has previously edited a large number of children’s mags including Disney Big Time, Jetix and yes, even Disney Girl. He still writes for many titles including SFX and Doctor Who Magazine, but has yet to find a mag that will allow him to review biscuits.
Cavan lives with his wife, two daughters and an inflatable Dalek called Desmond. His hobbies include anything to do with James Bond, getting muddy in the great outdoors and writing about himself in the third person. He supports Bristol City football club and knows the secret identity of club mascot, Scrumpy.
