Skylanders: The Machine of Doom has been out as an ebook for a couple of weeks now and the response has been amazing. I’ve had emails from a host of Skylander fans telling me how much they’ve enjoyed it and asking me questions about the book. Reviews have started to crop up and its already being discussed on Skylanders forums. It even has its own spoiler-tastic entry at Spyrowikia.
Over on Amazon reader Alison Scott says:
Loved it! Before I read this novel, I was really expecting The Machine of Doom to give us some insight on the characters featured, especially Spyro, and give us an exciting story. And it did! The story was intriguing and keep me on edge all the way through. I recommend this novel for fans of the Skylanders series. I hope there will be sequels! 🙂
Sequels? We’ll just have to see Alison.

My two boys read this book today, and recommend it for fans of Skylanders. They both thought the book was a great read. Their main complaints were that it was a little short, and Trigger Happy is not in the book (except for one of the illustrations). It’s not available until September in paperback, so grab it now for Kindle!
Don’t worry. You haven’t got to wait until September for the paperback. It’s out in August. And as for Trigger Happy, hmmmm, that gives me an idea…
While I ruminate on that, here’s a chance to check out the amazing illustrations to the book. Over on YouTube, Travis8316 has put together a video of the wonderful artwork by Daniela Geremia. Have a gander:
If you like the look of those, why not pick up the ebook. Alternatively, if you wait for the paperback edition you’ll be treated to even more of Daniela’s fab art.
